Moving day approaches

Hey Internet!

So we've been assigned an apartment by our township, which is great, cheaper and safer rent by far in this current economy is something EVERYONE wants right?
The assignments go by order and if your name is on the top when an apartment opens up you get it (unless there's some priority case pushed in front of you) no matter where it is, so there is no guarantee even if you wish for a specific area (because of school, work location etc.). Well we wished for the neighborhood where the Ragnar is in preschool and Kapitola is wait-listed in the same school, this is also a relatively new neighborhood, not old enough to have virtually no children left, but still not young enough to still be a raw constraction zone KWIM? We found out that odds were against us, the township only owns 4 apartments in that neighborhood so it wasn't likely we would get one but low and behold here we are just 6 days from getting the keys to a great second story apartment just a couple minutes walk from the children's preschool, private entrance and all the rooms/storage/space, wishlist things we asked for! Can you say PERFECT!

Well I guess I better get started if I'm going to make the deadline...*sigh* I need to pack pack pack...

My Birthday among other things...

Hey Internet!

It's been a while, I've been sort of busy with life and also very internet lazy lately. I've been reading/listening to the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich and it has my brain occupied 24/7 I LOVE those books, I can read them and re-read them over and over again! -And I laugh every single time!!!

I celebrated  my 25th birthday on March 6th, lucky me my class had a "spa day" in our class room that day instead of school so I got a facial - pretty neat huh? :) and two of my classmates gave me birthday presents, a pair of earrings and a cute bunny ornament that will live in Kapitola's room (she loves the thing LOL).

After school I went to visit my Amma (grandmother) where I got the present from my mother (who couldn't make it) - a gift card for our brand new computer upgrade (a new motherboard, more RAM etc. for our old computer) - and Amma gave me some cash, she also made me waffles for lunch since it was my birthday :) - gotta love how it always feels like you're a kid when you visit your grandmother :) - at least for me...

A few cups of coffee later I went to see my therapist and then went home to pack the kids overnight bags while Gummi picked them up from preschool and daycare, then they picked me up and we drove Ragnar to my Amma's for his sleep over and ran some errands before Kapitola and I went to hang out at Ragga's (my aunt's) we hung out there while Gummi ran some more errands, and then he picked me up and took me to dinner.

We had dinner at Kaffi Jónsson, a neat place that serves delish Crepés YUM!!! we had one togeather (they are huge) with curry chicken and rice and such MMMM! then we had some icecream for desert :).

After dinner we went home to tidy up a bit and get ready for a night out with friends, our friends arrived between 9-10pm, Inga, Lína, Palli and Björg, some had coffee, a few had beers, I had pisang in sprite ;) we all chatted and had fun and around 12 all intentions of a night out were blown off - we got out the board game called Popppunktur - it's a music trivia board game! we were playing until well after 4am when we just gave up - everyone was about to fall asleep and noone was close to winning the game, so we just stopped playing... Gummi was in the lead and I was following his tail closely ;).

Next agenda will be Kapitola's birthday on the 18th (Gummi's birthday on the 11th is laying low this year but his 25th next year will be celebrated tremendously!)

Well Internet, I'm off to bed - listening to Stephanie Plum as always! LOL

Good Night hope you all have a good one!
