Preperations for next week!

Hi World!

So I got the news last week, I have been accepted into the hairdressing course at my school. I am thrilled, although also a bit worried about money issues!

I will start school next week on Wednesday, - very exciting!

Ragnar will start school a week after me, on +wednesday in the following week.

I can't believe this summer went by so fast, we have had some this summer and I think it's time to reflect on that now... with the wind and rain blowing outside making the fall seem closer then ever -

In may I finished my exams and hung out a lot with my friends during the kids time in Pre-school - such a sweet time, just me and my friends and not a care in the world LOL
in June we went on a trip to Reykjavík and the surrounding area, we rented a cabin about 45 minutes from Reykjavík, for a week and stayed there with my grandmother, her boyfriend, my aunt and cousin. we had a great time, and relaxed and had fun and a well needed break from everyday life :) - We also used the time we stayed there to travel around the area visiting relatives and friends, the highpoint of this trip for me was to visit my old great uncle, he's gone blind and half deaf but he was staying alone in a trailer in a summervacation area and we visited him there, if I hadn't known he was blind I'd have thought he'd been lying about it - he walks without a stick and jumps around like a 70 year old (in fact he's a little over 80) I have missed him a lot and was super glad to see him again, I haven't seen him for years!
There were many fun things such as a trip to the petting zoo and a visit with my BFF and spending the national independence day (June 17th) with her. And then we finished the trip by staying with my aunt in Reykjavík for one night were my kids and her kids had a blast and us grown ups played cluedo :) it was a great evening :) the day after we visited good friends, the kids and Gummi stayed with a friend of ours while I went to meet an old friend whom I haven't seen in years and then we drove home that night, it was a great trip and so worth it!

In the beginning of July Ragnar quit the pre-school and Kapitola started her summervacation from there. and we used the four weeks of family time to visit friends and family in the surrounding arias and having a great time, among other things we visited the old house in Laufás, a historical turf house, where Kapitola got to try her hand at butter making they also got the feel of old Icelandic country life. We also visited my great uncle who lives in a farm, and tried our hand at harvesting grass - for the sheep he raises - and that was fun, and Ragnar's birthday was celebrated on the 17th (his real birthday is the 20th) with a big party in his honor and we all had a blast.

This month has been no less hectic then the last, Kapitola started pre-school again, now in Sóley the second grade of her school and she is loving it, although she does miss her brother when she's there, because he's no longer in her school. Ragnar and I have continued visiting friends and family and having fun - just the two of us - and on Kapitola's days off we try to relax a bit all of us and gather some energy for the oncoming weeks of madness :)

I love my life, I have to say I don't think I would want to change a thing (although a little more income a month would be nice LOL) about it, I have the best husband, the best daughter and the best son, and I have incredibly wonderful pets and my house is perfect :)

love

Zion
